Anything the government decides is considered a felony in their eyes or a crime that can be construed as violence including disorderly conduct in certain jurisdiction you are now required to give DNA samples. This includes nonviolent felons such as people with simple personal amount drug possession that is considered a felony. This is the exact same profile of activity that took place in China prior to them and acting all this extra security measures. US is one step away from this type of surveillance state at this very moment. All it’ll take is enough states to enact these laws for the federal government to claim there is presidents to create federal laws claiming that any federal crime will result with requiring DNA samples to be forfeited. And as far as the federal government is concerned what is to stop them from taking it the next logical step which is biometric data scans. Entire civilize world is about to become hey authoritarian state with absolutist ideologies. We are headed there and no one seems to care or notice in their apathy from being continuously bombarded with horrible information across media outlets. All leaders are measuring up whether or not people are ready to give up all of their freedom for the sake of public safety. All we hear about is how we continually give up our freedoms for the sake of safety or public safety they call it. They can neither provide nor guarantee safety and that is not the utility of a government in the first place. Safety is provided only by military and that is separate from government in a democracy.
