Despite the goodness, the kindness, and the humanity of this wonderful man, it is not going to change what will happen. We cannot stop the onslaught of what AI will do to our civilization. If the world is destroyed, it will most likely be due to greed. Greed is the one thing That is very hard to control. It’s clear that these people at the top, even with all the money they have, really don’t care about anyone else that isn’t in their magical little bubble. If the rest of us die because we can’t find jobs and therefore can’t pay for food or housing, they don’t care. They’ll just continue to accumulate money and live happily in their mansions in the sky. Bernie Sanders is the last of the great politicians. In a perfect world, he would be retired and relaxing with his grandchildren. But because things are so effed up, he continues to fight for his constituency and for the country that he loves and that we love. Is anyone listening to him? I highly doubt it. Despite the plethora of wonderful supportive comments on this page, I don’t think it really matters. AI is coming for us. We cannot stop it. It’s like a giant wave. It’s a tsunami. Who will survive in the aftermath? Who knows? I’m saddened by the loss of humanity, the loss of respect for others, the loss of concern about the well-being of human beings, but that’s where we’re at. Yes, Bernie, it’s a “brave New World.” But whether it’s a world that we can actually live in remains to be seen.
