So much nonsense jammed into cars these days that is jarring at the best of times and encouraging a falsely optimistic sense of 'safety'. Honestly I would say anything built into a car that takes control away from it's driver without the ability to disable it entirely should be illegal to implement. This is why I doubt I'll ever drive 'modern' cars and the idea of 'self-driving' is just comedy to me.
Even just unnecessarily distracting forms of the nonsense such as unpleasant bells that cannot be deactivated because the shopping you left on the back seat isn't wearing it's seatbelt... As if the soul of some arsehole designer from 5 or 10 years back is hidden away locked in the steering wheel 24/7 acting like it knows or understands what you are doing right here and now better than you do.
Whose only job is to treat you like the idiot masquerading as licensed and competent you damn well know you are you hear!
