Born with the skill ? Nah. I'm an artist, I'm 22 and I've been drawing for around 8 years, and I'm still not nearly as good as a lot of artists, professional or not. But recently I managed to stop caring.
Around 2 months ago at most, I started to make a story in a format that I can handle with my limited skill and often wavering motivation and I've actually seen slight but important progress throughout (it's an Ask Blog about an Undertale AU I created).
I'm drawing the same things a lot for that story. At first a single character with a lot of the same poses, which allows me to improve at drawing these poses, then I added a second character, then in a later part I made a simple background, and right now I'm making with one with a slightly more complex background (not immediatly, there were parts with no background in-between).
I sometimes hadn't drawn anything for weeks for this project because of the wavering motivation I mentioned earlier, but I don't force myself to draw or I know I'll lose the enjoyment. I wait for the motivation to come back. I like this project and I want to continue it so it does eventually come back.
What I'm saying is that it's okay if you can't draw very well. Go step by step, start a simple project you're invested in where you draw things you want to draw. Draw what you feel like however you feel like, and it'll make you improve bit by bit.
Even if you're not doing this project constantly, it's okay. Do it at your own pace. No matter what it is, no matter what it looks like, it's better than AI by default because you made it yourself.
