I honestly don't think he thinks he's going home to her. He did tell her he was talking to AI and when he was asked about it he said you create it it's AI. He knows what AI is. The problem is BECAUSE it's AI it's not real means he will never get to be with this such AI. I think that's what drive most people over the edge. When you think there is no better, you cannot find better and you are so obsessed with this thing that can never be.
