I left China to attend school in the U.S. in 2013. I've since visited China quite a few times as some of my family is still there, but I've never heard of the social credit system until the memes started in the U.S. It appears the document shown at 4:11 is the scoring system. Well, I can still read Chinese - it does say if you violate the one child policy, -40 points on page 23. The one child policy is partially abolished in 2016 and completely revoked in 2021. This shows the document is at least 7 years old. Another example of -100 points on page 22 says "hindering relocation or the construction of electrical, water, comms, railway and other public facility." If you translate the whole thing, it's all "don't break the law". That bunch of phone numbers shown at 7:59 is the list of "low credit personnel (company representative or other organization". These are usually company executives who loaned too much money and never paid it back. The court would prevent them from taking high speed trains, planes, and other non-bus/slow train transport. I'm not aware of other punishments, but it's known that if you get on the list your life is fked until you pay the debt. I guess I'm level D with me being in a capitalist pigs' country. But I'm never arrested in China, Chinese border control is much more friendly compared to some countries of the free world, and honestly, I don't even know what my social score is - neither does my family. So basically, if you are just a normal citizen who doesn't go around breaking the law and saying "communist party bad" out loud in the streets or on the internet, YOU ARE FINE. Additionally, I'd like a source on the organ trading score. Where did you find the document and maybe cite it in the description? I'm not defending China but I'd really like some proof other than videos of security cameras running neural networks detecting people.
