The thing they always seem to forget is that art is basically the human experience. Its all about people's perspective, and experience. It's about what they see and feel and know. It's, as spiritual as this sounds, a view into someone's personhood.
AI is literally the opposite. The humanity ends at the point they stop typing the prompt. I could come up with a number of reasons why a single white page of paper has more artistic value than an AI output.
The ableism argument is a great example of this. They think 'art' means 'nice looking image' when art is more than that by far.
