I wouldn't bet on nightshade doing anything. Keep doing it, but I wouldn't bet on that particular horse.
As for its uses - non artists friends sometimes send me images they generated and ask if I can make something like that for them. So, that begs the question: if I so much as see an AI image or incorporate a shape, color, or concept used in one (a reference by any other name) - is my work irrevocably tainted? Food for thought, best of luck.
