This hate toward AI sounds extremely similar to the hate Photoshop got when it first arrived on the scene, or when CGI was created for movies in the early 90s.
AI will never replace artists, it is a tool. And all tools can be used nefariously but we blame the user, not the tool. We don't blame cameras for the way some people use them, police arrest the photographer.
