I missed it when Hinton used to say that A.I. was going further and further away from how the brain actually works (from his own research papers that no one bothers reading for some reason) and he suddenly stopped saying this right when Google bought his research group for $44 million and Google also donated another $10 million to the school that he lectures at now.
