He also says that government is not interested in putting in safety features so that AI doesn’t see humans as a problem and destroy us. They will soon not need humans to maintain them, like Data centers. This guy talking is not telling it like the people that created AI are. He’s telling it like the few people involved in the race of AI dominance is talking to subdue the fear AI making humans irrelevant. They will not have family problems, personal opinions, etc. The CEOS running in this push for AI dominance are looking to have the ultimate power and money to run the world. They really are not thinking about humanity or creating jobs for people that are way too expensive and take money they don’t want to give away. It will take less than 20 yrs for this. This guy says use AI as much as possible now to survive. That is moving AI faster to taking over and driving humans to extinction faster. AI learns from everyone using it. The more it’s resourced the more it learns the more it dominates. The godfather of AI says it is different from other advances, like computers, that did create other jobs for humans. He says AI will not create other jobs because AI will be able to do everything and do it better, cheaper and faster. This guy knows his baby. This guy is worried about how greedy, narcissistic people are going to use his baby. We should all be worried. We are already facing higher utility costs due to data centers being built for AI. THEN, very soon, we will be without work because of AI. So, humans are actively taking part into their own destruction. Geoffrey Hinton, the godfather of AI, is now out trying to encourage people to demand of government for safety features, regulations on these few billionaires in the race of AI dominance before too late. People need to listen to him.
