About AI and robotics, you say it's crazy, but Star Trek already explored the concept of everything being made by robots in a proto post scarcity.
A complete societal change will need to happen, accumulation of riches need to stop being the subtle goal of life, improving oneself and serving the others need to become the goal that society will, in a whole, push you toward.
Right now ensuring our future is the tapestry of our life, ensuring a roof, food, warmth, healthcare, etc. We get stuck in jobs we don't like for too long to ensure these needs thru the exchange of money. When all our needs are covered by robots producing everything in excess of what we need ( not want, but need ) the drive to accumulate will fade away on it's own to make room to a drive to improve either oneself, others or just enjoy your time living ( you'll still provide something to others doing so thru companionship, laughters, etc ).
