Like many of the problems the ML crowd hope to address, they are discovering that to make it work at a human level, you need strong AI.. and that is not really in ML's domain. This is why ML was the red headed step child of AI till GPUs made it cheap and slop made it lucrative.. but at its core, it still has little to no prospect for full strong AI.
