I think we still have 2 generations before humans will became obsolete. Huge chance they will keep alive humans that are having great skills and good health. Some humans will be needed so part of us will have to remain - for our DNA samples, creativity, some sort of tasks AI or Robots wont be able to do. But indeed there is no need for 8 mld people and no need so many people in big cities.
