I just don't understand. Why couldn't we just get the government to slap hard restrictions on automation for companies? UBI seems like an okay solution but it is absolutely not suitable for the long-term at all, sooner or later, when automation takes over almost everything, people would see no motive to seek education. Why would you concern yourself with exams if the end-goal is just sitting at home taking free money? The mental health would also go the lowest in human history, bored people doing nothing but fun activities would get so boring that even the fun activities will no longer be fun.
We just need to face it, with UBI, all that we will get is a world population of fat, unhealthy, mentally unwell and uneducated people. This is absolutely scary.
