The only thing that basically let's folk like Shad pretend that "AI" art isn't theft is the black box - the "in between process" happening inside of the program, the process these folk know nothing about (tho tbh, not many people care to learn what exactly it is and what is wrong about it)
It's the pretend deniability on level of fighting your war with proxies and mercenaries, but you aren't even directly controlling the mercs and "letting them do whatever just get the thing done, regardless the crime and destruction"
And well, something that you did point out here, even if for a while- the generated "art" is extremaly disposable, even worse than a thin tissue paper. It's like a funko pop, but without even the meager collectible value. Yes, even this plastic trash has at least smidge of value
