I like your video, it really highlights the points of the artists in this dispute, and it gave me some food for thought. I am an AI art enthusiast and have an interest in understanding the artists' arguments against it or some parts of it. I just don't have a firm position on the use of copyrighted material yet. This video was helpful to me and the tones are calm, I totally appreciated. It helps much more to understand the situation than many more "straightforward" and brief statements by many artists (e.g. Miyazaki dismissing everything as an "insult to life"). I do not agree with everything that has been said tho, and in my opinion the arguments on the other side of the fence are not properly represented in this video. In my humble opinion, the arguments in support of AI art have been represented in a somewhat incomplete and naive manner. Other than that, the other side is made up not only of bullies and keyboard lions, but of people who have taken an immense amount of time to realize such technology and truly believe in the possibilities of progress for humanity that such tech can bring... I appreciate this video very much, though, and I am sincerely sorry that in this wave of misunderstanding between two worlds there have been harassments like the ones you mentioned. The purpose of this video is to represent the artists point of view, and it does pretty well imho. And there are many others which do the same for the other side. I hope by the way that those who are truly interested in the dispute and want to seek a complete view on the subject will not stop here, and will also listen to the other side's arguments. I find it to be an extremely powerful and useful technology, which if well used can bring real benefit to humanity. We probably just need to understand better each other. P.S.: AI arts are driven by a way smaller community, some of them did an enormous amount of work. They're getting often harassed too, and their freedom to create is being hit by lots of sites banning their original creations, driven by (pass me the term) "traditional" artists rising up against. This means some freedoms to create and express oneself are being killed. I'm not so sure AI artists are on the strong side... And sorry but no, it's not illegal to scrape images on the internet, and an AI model is not designed to replicate training images as they are.
