Whether AI is or is nor or ever or never will be conscious there will come a time where people in large numbers will believe that it is, regardless of what experts say.
This will affect how we interact with it.
We will have believers and non believers and political discourse around ethics and we will disagree a lot on those and get angry and upset at eachother like we regularly are in politics. People will involve.
That is my prediction.
