As AI and autonomous workers replace humans what do folks think is going to happen? Unemployment and underemployment will rise as more jobs are lost than are created. Homelessness will increase and spending power will drop as it becomes more difficult to make ends meet. You cannot have a consumer-driven economy without consumers able to afford to consume.
It's amazing to me that regulators can't see the glaring issues that is hiding in the shadows of all of this "technological progress." We're already seeing some of the negative outcomes of the push for more and more automation.
