Any problem with AI can all be directly traced to the users misinterpretation of what occurrs 'inside' the machine. There is absolutely NO meaning in any of the data being processed, as it's nothing but binary numbers. Using 'cognitive' language to describe AI is absolutely the core of the issue. These things don't think, they don't want, they don't desire, they don't hide, they don't lie, they don't hallucinate . . . They calculate vectors for numeric tokens using linear algebra, and they only operate using machine code. There are no chips or wires that can (or do) hold a conscious frame of reference. Any intelligence you see in them comes directly from the people who write the software for them, not from running the programs they write.
A digital computer is a calculator not a mind. Stop using mental language when trying to describe what they do.
