I actually thought like this too, but I do not use AI at all. When I would try something and it didn't turn out well, my family would chuckle and say "you're not very good at that are you?" There was a lot of talk about finding what I was talented in. It wasn't until I started watching TwoSet that I realized practice *in all areas* was an important part of pursuing what I loved. And I started being more okay with not being good or even decent at something, and keeping with it anyways. So I've done that for communication, emotional processing, and now I am drawing stuff I don't know how to do just to try it because I want to see what it's like. I hear both sides, and I see how we got here, but it's so sad. I hope that AI discourse will help more people understand that being bad at stuff is actually fine and that the struggle of creation is not unwelcome even if it's difficult.
