7:25 This is utter bullshit. The tech industry is bereft of innovation and desperate for another iPhone-level new product. They need to sell the idea that their funny little search engine+ is a paradigm shift of monumental proportions in order to maintain the sky high valuations of their companies. They need investors to believe God will come from the machine. They need the US govt to "believe" (in quote marks because US politicians will believe whatever you pay them to) God will come from the machine.
This whole thing is a scam to make as much money from the AI bubble for as long as possible. It is the tech bubble which has spent the last 11 years hopping from one faddy, shitty idea to another in order to keep number going up.
This won't last, but by then the damage to our economy, infrastructure and our fucking climate will be done.
