I don't wanna be a stick-in-the-mud, but, as a worker-bee myself, for a few decades I've felt that if a job can be automated... it should be. The real problem with that... is frickin' Capitalism. We worker-bees have spent all our lives putting in the time and effort to _get_ us to this moment in history, but the fruits of our efforts, and the increase in our productivity... has _always_ been bled off to make life ever-cushier and better-funded for those who a) run the corporations we work in and b) _invest_ in the corporations we work in. Automation isn't the problem. The problem is that automation isn't being used to fulfill the promise that's been made to the worker-bees since the beginning of industrialization and technology... that _we_ will benefit from increases in productivity, have shorter work-weeks, more free-time, and on and on. But that promise was false... and has always been stolen from us by the people... who run... the show.
