Even if we slow down on the race, China will still be in it. I fear that the wheels are rolling too fast for them to slow down. Sam called a "code red" because Google got an upper hand, now there is internal competition within companies working with AI. It's at the point where it's moving so fast, they will roll into AGI super-intelligence whether they want to or not.
