My "favorite" argument is "AI isn't just slop, it's improving and you'll see what it can do in a few years". We've been hearing this at every iteration, and every time we get... new slop. Because "AI is a tool", but I don't care if you get a better and heavier hammer if you can't even hit a nail on the head, all you're going to get is holes in the wall.
The thing is that clankers need to attack those who dislike AI because it's a coping mechanism. It's bursting their bubble. Clankers are the type of people who never tried anything in their life, going "ah if only I had an easy way to do this I'd be rich and famous", and they saw AI as the easy way. I write a few sentences, I get art, everyone will love it. And when they find out that, well, nobody loves it, they can't accept it. And they need to mock artists with "good luck, you're being replaced".
