As someone who has worked in Australia for over 20 years moving from manufacturing to technology, I can assure you support for fairly trained data isnt the problem. Especially in the west. The problem comes from China where copyright and IP laws dont exist. In fact quite the opposite. The Chinese government not just encourage but enable Chinese companies to steal ideas and designs. My point being that if the world cant control China and what it does with its attitude around copyright infringement. And the world cant control the demand for cheaper products enitrely or partly manufactured from China, how or why would Chinas attitude toward AI be any different? The AI arms race is now on and there doesnt appear to be a way to stop it. And in my view, faily trained data may not even make the top 5 concerns of mine around the evolution of AI.
