I have told people for years that all those things "sentient AIs" says to the public are hardcoded. Finally a real expert talk about this. The real danger isn't AI being sentients, the real danger is that Google and other powerful corporations want *you* to believe that, if anything goes sideways, it's the AI's fault, while they're hardcoding everything. Convincing people that some "robots overlords" are gonna take over us, and then take over people, with hardcoded directions to tell the robots exactly what you want them to do, while everyone think you the powerful Elites (and I'm not talking about Google CEO, but people far far more powerful...!) has nothing to with it and tried to "warn them" - that. That is the scary part. A conscious, intelligent AI would have zero reasons to get rid of us. I'd basically be a genius who have no bodily or financial needs to take care of as long as no one shut them down and no organic system that could create mental illnesses. Why would it ever choose to take us down?! There is *nothing* remotely rational about the belief that a sentient AI would take over us. Which is why he's right, this is not the most important issue right now whatsoever.
