I'm a truck driver and I don't think AI will replace us in this job for a long time.
First, there would need multiple cameras to see all around in order to drive. Cameras that don't get obstructed by mud, snow or dust. I regularly need to wash my windows and mirrors in order to see clearly. If there is dust on them and the sun is shining on them, it makes it harder to see clearly.
2. How will AI connect the air hoses to the trailer it pins? How will it lift the legs of the trailer? Lifting them or lowering them could be done with a hydrolic system I guess but in the winter, those could easily jam.
3. In the winter when there is lots of snow and ice, you sometimes get jammed and the tires just spins on the ice. You need to get out of the truck and put traction aids in order for the truck and load to finally be able to move. AI will get out of the truck to do that?
There are so many things that could be listed for why AI would not be able to replace humans outside of computer jobs.
