The reason people are upset is $$$. That's all. It's just about $$$. AI art doesn't take your art away from you. It doesn't devalue your expression. It's funny seeing artists use the same arguments the big evil record companies used regarding sampling and file sharing etc. Oh well I'm an asshole I guess.
