a friend of mine has started making fake music with AI "album art" and it's horrifying to see how people eat it up. Although his music is still handmade from samples and not prompted, it is fake nonetheless. But the real issue is the fact that he uses straight up cringe AI art that is as generic and stereotypical as possible. It all looks like cheap clip art and always has that weird bubbly AI font. And he sees no problem with this. But any time I see AI "album art" used for music, the commenters overwhelmingly despise the art and immediately dismiss the music. I personally will never listen to any artist that uses AI to make their album images.
