I think, way back when it started, it was an interesting thing. Crai yon. I played with it, in particular my key words were “early 1800’s mountain pass vampires approaching coach” or something like that. What I got back was some scary stuff like six legged horses pulling a passenger coach and some spooky creatures in waist coats. But the kicker is, it was all based on 1800’s steel etches because they didn’t have a big frame of reference.
I did save those pictures which were pretty poor in terms of they were bit-mappy, but it was for my entertainment only and not for using in any medium.
I can’t imagine being a student of art, or a kid who needs to write a paper for the sake of learning, and they use AI to do this; then there is no point in being in those classes in the first place.
I say to those people who cheat using AI, “Why not find what you really love to do and do it with your own hands and mind?”
