I personally dont have an issue with AI art in of itself, my issue lies in the fact that the data these machines are parsing through is doing so without explicit (or acknowledged) consent from the artists of the work they are working from. Its all leeched from the internet and used in a very disposable way.
If a machine were to get it's data strictly from artists it had permission from, I would see literally no problem with it.
But these are effectively bootlegs of something with no quantifiable quality like merchandise, taking all of the methods these artists had to train and practice for, and basically making abstractions from them to make "just as good" free alternatives for people who rely on their craft being compensated.
