This was about 7 years ago and thus before AI. But a friend of mine went in for a routine hysterectomy, to be performed robotically. The robot nicked one or more internal organs. Her organs began to fail, one by one, gradually -- after a year and a half of sheer hell, in which she basically ended up starving and unable to keep food down, she finally passed away. It was a HORRIFYING and completely avoidable death.
