With AI in their hands, they can rewrite everything convincingly, so nobody, absolutely nobody will have the slightest idea of what is real and what is BS. Remember how the military council that ruled Japan tried to make the "Japanese fighting spirit" overcome the sheer resources of the USA under competent determined leadership? Now, the US is run by the same kind of delusional mad men, and with these tools, they'll have the public believe we're up to fighting WW3, even though our military is depleted, our industry outsourced to our rivals, and our population infighting over identity politics.
