I have no clue whether I should be optimistic or pessimistic. thing about futures is they can be anything. i'd say, another option would be to ascend with AI and become a kind of cyborg right? so then that puts humans back in charge of the critical thinking.
i do think the utopia ending is ascending with AI, or AI babysits us and balances adversity with pleasure for an engaging life.
dystopia is AI does everything for us and we become hedonistic, or the robot actually replaces humans entirely either by a certain class or entirety of the human race.
that's what i think. the most likely outcome is hedonism. we're humans after all and we'd choose the policies which align with pleasure mostly
