Now imagine if profits weren't the end goal. We would value human creativity much more than AI, because there is a connection there to fellow human beings. Then the AI can be relagated to the role it is supposed to serve: saving us time, and making our lives easier and safer. But in relentless capitalism, human connection takes a back seat, and pursuit of profit takes over. And the AI, however imperfect, impersonal and ill-suited for the job, will always outperform any human in terms of cost effectiveness. But it is not the AI that pursues this path. It's not the AI that is at fault here. It's capitalism and corporate greed.
