Our brains gets that information to increase or decrease the strength of a connection based on stimulus from senses, once we will be able to get to plug some artificial senses to a model directly into the network ( without blocking the main IO channel ) then the model can run independent of a prompt ( just on a system prompt to define persona ) being able to start generating content and take actions and produce output if it "senses" he should so. Currently we use AI with one sense the main IO channel that you write prompt to, therefore if no input there is no output as the models currently are reactive (same as our brains are).
