I've been doing art consistently for about a years now and this AI situation rrl makes me sad.
At first it was like "Haha funny AI filter you can be an anime chatacter now"
But after getting more deep into the situation I honestly find this horrible.
The AI's are straight up stealing artists work that they spended hours making it, years of learning and improving their skills to create an artstyle. Just for this to happen.
Artist do this bc it's something that gives them joy, from finding a reference to finishing the little details in their work. It's what sometimes put a food on their plate, it's what some of them are in school for.
I think it's about time for more artists to speak up about this, I'm glad Sam has made a video abt it so it will get more attention.
