I was beginning to adopt Claude more often than ChatGPT for development but wow Dario is the man
Him speaking on the importance of policy and just waving a warning flag is commendable.
A quick google shows 27 million software engineers in the world. With 50-60% being junior or mid level. That’s over 13.5 million people affected.
Benchmarks show Opus and Sonnet 4 now at 80% success rates, up from 15% last year. We’re looking at only remnants left for Staff engineers.. and a slight increase in Product roles.
Hard to blame Sam Altman, or any CEO for lack of empathy in a capitalist society but here we are, with him focusing on business growth while Dario’s considering societal impact.
