Raw LLM Responses

One of my biggest hobbies is nsfw furry art, both creating and viewing, and while there are some people that fell into ai gen stuff, a lot of us are pretty solidly against it. I'd imagine that part of the reason some boosters believe ai will replace artists is that their main experience with art is either as works they don't get (which is fine everybody has different tastes) or as the more conventional side of nsfw art that has been extremely commodified over the last 10-15 years. If most of your art viewing is of a handful of artists who constantly bang out (haha) whatever the generic trending character on twitter is in one of 5 poses with incredibly simple and boring composition, lighting, etc, then sure ai does seem impressive because it can also do that. But especially in more niche areas like furry art there's often a lot more human expression going on. A big part of why many people engage with the furry community is because of how queer it is, and a lot of the art is also extremely queer, either implicitly or explicitly. There are pieces of that art that have had profound impact on me as a person, not because of some surface level element, but because there's something about them that I share with the artist on a deep emotional level. Ai can't share some deep dark experience or desire like that, because ai doesn't experience or desire anything at all. A lot of the best art comes from marginalized communities and people, and is part of the reason I (and many others) would argue art is inherently political. So it's not exactly surprising many of the ai boosters are also openly, or at least vaguely, against marginalized people existing in society. Asmon is a perfect example of this, I have no trouble believing his rants about what kinds of people should be in games comes from the same place as his support for ai, it's a way of removing 'undesirable people' from being visible in society. I actually only started posting (under a different username) my nsfw work earlier this year, despite not being very good, or high quality, or whatever, I decided to share my art as an act of political resistance to ongoing efforts to remove me and people like me, from society. My art isn't explicitly or obviously political mind you, but it does exist, and it existing at all is a reminder to other queer people that they aren't alone, and to people who want us gone that I also exist regardless of their wishes. I also think there's this near universal experience at this point of finding some artwork made some Tumblr coded teen of 2 (or more) characters being gay as hell, and either having a completely unexpected internal crisis because you see some part of yourself reflected painfully obviously in the shakey lines and aweful color choices, or you're so disgusted by the concept of gay people existing in 'polite' society that end up having a separate kind of internal crisis. Regardless of which reaction you have, you either decide to do some introspection and reflection, grow as a person and end up valuing art on some level, or you completely reject the experience, close yourself off, and eagerly await a world where ai custom makes 'art' just for you that never makes you question or really feel anything ever again.
