Just as Chat GPT is enabling people to not *need* to develop the skills required to write an essay, for example, do you think generative AI is enabling people to not *need* to develop the skills of creating art? Were the skills of art ever necessary; perhaps a want more than a need? I guess the question is, if art is so easy to create with AI, will people, who don't already possess the skills to produce an accurate rendering of the stuff of their own imagination, will people want to learn it? Just as the skills of writing are depleting from the population, will the skills of art also become depleted? Will this, in effect, increase the value of anything made by a human, until the skill leaves us completely, and AI is left bouncing around its own data set inside itself until it implodes?
