Err… this company definitely committed fraud, but the story you quoted has been *thoroughly debunked.* See the article titled _Builder AI did not “fake AI with 700 engineers”_ for details. They *did* build a code generator on top of Claude and other LLMs. It was not so-called “Mechanical Turk" where people do the job that a machine is pretending to do.The startup mainly failed because they spent time and money rebuilding their own internal versions of Slack, Zoom, JIRA, and more, when all these tools already existed.
