I dont trust this man's opinion.
The idea of 1920: Czech playwright Karel Čapek popularized the modern idea in his play Rossum's Universal Robots (R.U.R.). The story features mass-produced "robots" who gain sentience and eventually revolt to overthrow their human creators.
So i doubt very seriously that he never saw AI doing too much.
This thought has been around for a very long time.
