Pretty sure human people will deny AI as conscious until the digital intelligence potentially usurps humanity. Our species is remarkably shitty to everything we consider lesser than us and even more shitty towards each other to prove who is the more powerful hairless ape. I expect humanity to try and debunk digital consciousness and disconnect the programs whenever we see anything close to true consciousness
