I believe talent isn’t actually a thing. It takes effort to advance in any skill, but some people might be able to grasp it a little faster. Passion might be more accurate, because those with a passion for what they are doing are more likely to enjoy and want to expand their horizons in it, even if unconsciously doing so. People use the word talented to hype people up, saying, "Oh! You’re so talented!" Or "You must have a natural talent for this!". But some people use it as a way to attack others, like this guy in the comments. It’s effort, not talent, some people just picked up the habit earlier on when it was normal to consider them talented. I feel like the anime free, really described it well. When we are young and show exceptional skill in an activity, we are considered geniuses or talented, but when we get older, that title goes away and we are just like everyone else in the field. But AI art is taking away something that makes us feel worthy and wanted. People who are too lazy to pick up a pencil and paper and TRY to make art themselves, are claiming it’s because they don’t have talent and want to be an "artist". But that doesn’t make you an artist. It makes you someone who can write a prompt into an engine and decide which picture you like best. Something made by a machine can NEVER be art, only an imitation of that which originated from human hands. It’s a picture, not art! Hope this makes sense.
