Really fascinating conversation! The fact that those funding AI research are blocking AI ethicists is downright unforgivable.
If we're going to create sentient AI and humanoid robots, they must have rights and protections similar to any other living being. If you're going to make a human replica purely for human consumption, made out of materials far stronger than the human body, abusing them will only lead to disaster. All we can hope is that robots will be kinder than human beings are.
