I always find the use of Luddite as an insult mildly poetic. Actual well oresented reports of the history will go into the movement being concern both with the pay of the workers who factory owners were trying to replace, but also the poor quality textiles that were being produced by the early machines they sabotaged. One of their main agruments was that the bad clothing produced by these machines devalued the work of others because people would become less willing to pay for high quality ckothes when so much of the market was garbage that falls apart quickly.
I dont think the people calling you a Luddite realize the historical context. But yes, I am like a Luddite in the sense I think these AI tools are being intentionally inplemented to flood our spaces with garbage and devalue the hard work of creators that deserve fair compensation.
