People seem to really struggle to understand statistics. Same thing with planes and how people are scared of getting on a plane after an accident happens, even though it's the safest form of travel with thousands of flights happening constantly at any given moment in time. If you compare the numbers of how many cars are on the road, how many crashes happen worldwide, how many cars are self driving and specifically a Tesla made vehicle, and how many of those crash, and then compare the two to take into account the massive size differences and you see the actual results. Self driving vehicles are safer than human driving. 2x safer, estimated millions of miles before there's a chance of a crash, and Waymo is far better than both humans or other AIs on the market for self driving. Now I find it imperative to mention that I do not at all like Musk- so if that was your go to, not gonna work. But we need to be fair and we need to look at the statistics properly.
