You're making a bunch of super valid points in this video. Personally, I want to thank you for making it. People who give a shit should be concerned and know about these things. We should not allow ourselves to degrade our consciousness and our compassion so much to stop caring of what makes us not just human, but alive. Full disclosure: I'm 56, a book editor, I use AI almost every day to train myself to edit, write and even think better about some things. I'm not romanticizing it unnecessarily like people do with their favorite actors or artists. That always brings about ridiculous results and it's absolute cringe in the end. Not a fan of cringe, to be honest. I have some very strong and stubborn opinions about what makes good art, or what makes art at all, vs. things trying hard to look like art or be accepted as art but failing. And I completely agree with all the points you made in this video. Those who defend AI "art" should take a long and hard look at what makes them justify empty consumerism over actual appreciation of the inseparable connection of the human artist to their art. I find the stance of these two AI art defenders you present in this video absolutely unacceptable, appalling, even. It's the very source of most things that go wrong with humanity today - let's just enjoy the final product and fuck those who spent blood, sweat and tears to create it, dealing with human appreciation is a bother, so fuck them. Right. It's interesting, because you still need love and compassion in your life, and one day when you turn around and it's all gone, machines are very bad substitutes for it, young man. Or rather, no substitute at all. That much everyone should be aware, and yet they're not, it seems. Ignoring what matters most in our existence, ignoring real meaning, yeah, good luck handling the remaining shards of your life a few decades later if you live like that. Pathetic consumerism shit. Anyway, once again, congratulations on not being a phony but sticking to real ideals. God is watching and fulfilling our desires according to our merit as well. We do NOT live in a random universe.
