I appreciate Scott for advocating for the working class in theory, but he is so out of touch from the reality working people that his proposals lately on AI miss the mark completely. What happens when a worker gets retrained and then their new job/career gets automated by technology too? Do these jobs pay enough to match cost of living? All these questions require regulations that pump the breaks on AI rather than finding excuses for the struggles of the working and middle class. The reality is that we've generated a massive increase in productivity, but most of the profits have gone to the ultra wealthy while everyone else is working harder, spending more on essentials, and stressing just to maintain their current quality of life.
